Malta unrolls itself in patches of rocky land, parceled off by neat rubble walls, clusters of carob trees, fertile valleys, flat-topped hills and the caribbean Sea beyond. Farms are very small (only 2-3 acres), notice the small stone huts used to store implements and always seen a vigorous sky.
